PhD positions in ICT at UnivAQ: 11 scholarships for cycle XLII
The University of L'Aquila's PhD program in ICT, coordinated by SWEN's Davide Di Ruscio, opens 11 fully funded scholarships for cycle XLII (2026/2027). Several topics sit at the core of SWEN's work, including a MOSAICO position on adversarial attacks against LLM-based multi-agent systems for software engineering. Applications close on 24 August 2026.
The Doctoral Program in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at the University of L'Aquila has opened its call for cycle XLII (academic year 2026/2027), offering 11 fully funded PhD scholarships. The program is coordinated by Davide Di Ruscio (SWEN) and covers the ICT research areas at DISIM, including software engineering, model-driven engineering, and AI for software, all central to SWEN.
Several of the funded positions fall squarely within SWEN's research areas:
- A position on the EU project MOSAICO (MODES Lab): Adversarial Attacks on LLM-Based Multi-Agent Systems for Software Engineering.
- A position on the EU project DigInTrace: Development of Data-Driven Abstraction Methods for Dynamical Systems.
- Six University-funded scholarships open to all topics in the program, well suited to model-driven engineering, software architecture, performance, and AI for software engineering.
The call also includes positions funded by industry and national agencies: two scholarships from Thales Italia (digital manufacturing for aerospace production, and on-board SAR processing) and one from the National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN) on the coexistence of quantum and classical cryptography.
