Bio
Mashal Afzal Memon is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Information Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics (DISIM) of the University of L'Aquila. She completed her PhD in Information and Communication Technologies at the University of L'Aquila in 2025. Her research explores methods to extract users' ethical preferences and incorporate them into autonomous systems, ensuring their behavior is transparent, adaptable, and responsive to users' ethical considerations. She is part of the SoSy and SWEN research groups at DISIM and actively participates in research projects including EXOSOUL, HALO, and RoboChor. She previously earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in Computer Systems Engineering in Jamshoro, Pakistan, where she also carried out research in computer vision.
